MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput became proud parents to their first child, a baby girl on Friday.
The girl was born at the Hinduja hospital in Khar around eight in the evening. Both mother and child are said to be doing well and in a healthy condition.
Shahid himself took to Twitter to confirm the happy news.
She has arrived and words fall short to express our happiness. Thank you for all your wishes.

Mira was admitted to the hospital on August 24 ahead of her delivery. Sources suggest that both the mother and daughter will be discharged within a couple of days.
Shahid, who has been around his wife all through and taking special care about her delivery, is no doubt a happy father now.
Needless to say the news has brought immense cheer to the entire Kapoor family too ever since the news broke. Shahid had few days ago shared an adorable picture with Mira.
Shahid and Mira tied the knot in July 2015 after a whirlwind courtship. We wish them congratulations!
