Lord’s ODI: Pakistan set 252 runs target for England

LONDON: Courtesy to excellent bowling performance from English fast bowlers including Wood,  Plunket and Woakes, Pakistan have been bundled out on 251 in the second ODI at Lord’s, London.

Skipper Azhar Ali won the toss and elected to bat first on a tricky surface.

The decision proved wrong for them as their top order was completely undone by the English pacers. Loosing first 3 wickets on 2 runs, Pakistan came back strongly, thanks to Sarfraz Ahmed’s great hundred and Imad Wasim’s ( 63* ).

Babraz Azam (30) and Shoaib Malik (28) also played a small role to keep Pakistan’s score board ticking.

But, Sarfraz Ahmed, was the shining star of the innings with his 105 off 130 balls.

For England, Mark Wood’s pace was hard to manage by Pakistan, he bagged 3 for 46 in his ten. While Chris Woakes gave away 42 runs for his three wickets in 9.5 overs.

England need 252 runs to win this game!
