Nargis Fakhri diagnosed of life-threatening disease

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri finally speaks up about her sudden exit from India and the film industry amid speculations.

Fakhri had left the country in a rush without promoting films Housefull 3 and Dishoom.

Following hr quit, rumours were that she had left the country because of the break with her boyfriend renowned producer, director and actor Uday Chopra.

Her mysterious silence made the situation even worse, but she now has finally appeared on surface to define the reason of her sudden exit.

Fakhri, in an interview with India’s leading news website, DNA News, clarified that the reason of her departure was not Uday Chopra but the arsenic and lead poisoning.

The actress said that she had been diagnosed with a serious case of arsenic and lead poisoning in Mumbai, probably caused from water, food or rusted lead pipelines in the building.

She told DNA that naturopathy (Ayurveda) helped her cure herself with the right herbs.

Nargis was quoted saying as “Ayurveda is based on naturopathy, herbs basically but it was a combination of different things that I researched and six months later I got the test done again and there was nothing.”

Her faith in naturopathy comes from her mother who she says cured herself of breast cancer and fibroids.
