Minus One: Farooq Sattar to lead MQM Pakistan

KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Pakistan setup, under the leadership of senior leader Farooq Sattar, has announced to distance itself from MQM London setup saying ‘MQM will be run from Pakistan.’

While addressing to remarkable press conference in Karachi, Dr Farooq said ‘we are MQM, and MQM is from us. Those chanting anti-Pakistan slogans should form own party.”

He was quite ‘patriot’ while speaking about Altaf Hussain’s speech and said some statements are undefendable.

He said, all the decisions regarding MQM will be taken from Pakistan leadership.

He also distanced himself from all the anti-Pakistan statements and activities and said MQM chief Altaf Hussain needs medical help.

Farooq Sattar, therefore announced to distance MQM Pakistan from MQM London secretariat, stating that Rabiita Committee has been taken in confidence before the vital decision.

The key representative of MQM said it was not the policy of the party to attack media houses as he condemned what transpired on Monday.

Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain, Khuwaja Izhar ul Hasan, Nasreen Jaleel and many other prominent names of MQM were present at the press conference.
