India climb to No. 1 in ICC Test Ranking

DUBAI: Australia’s recent melt down in Sri Lanka has caused the previous number one Test team 6 valuable points after which they have slipped down to number 3 in ICC Test Ranking with 108 points.

India, who were previously number two Test side with 112 points, have now automatically been placed on Word Number One Test Team throne.

They have golden chance to cement their place at No. 1 with a big win in the fourth Test match against West Indies at Port Spain, starting tomorrow.

However, if India draw this match or loose, Pakistan will gain the No. 1 spot in the Test for the first time in their cricket history.

According to latest ranking, the Green Caps are following India on second spot with a margin of just 1 point, with 111 points.

With the emphatic win over Aussies, Sri Lanka have been promoted to the sixth spot with 96 points, leaving behind South Africa on seventh with 92 points.

New Zealand are on 5th spot with 99 points whereas England remain on fourth with 108 points.
