Video: How Pakistan wickets fell on Day 2 Oval Test?

LONDON: Day of Oval Test can be called a fruitful day for Pakistan as they score 337 runs and lost only five wickets, three of them in the last half an hour of the day.

Pakistan started the proceedings of day 2 with 3-1.

The pair who faced English bowlers fiery pace included a tail-ender, Yasir Shah, whowonderfully well until the drinks of first session.

Yasir finally edged one from Finn to the second slip, where Root grabbed it in the second attempt.

Shah departed for his well-contributed 26.

Asad Shafiq was the next man in, when Younis was expected.

Third one to depart for Pakistan was Azhar Ali, unluckily caught at silly-point on 49 off a straight one from Moeen Ali.

In came Younis Khan.

Shafiq was the man to go after scoring his brilliant hundred before being sharply caught by Broad at short mid-wicket. It was blinder of a catch to dismiss a hardcore Asad.

He went for 109. Finn was lucky again to get his second wicket.

Misbah fell early for his 15 as the new ball was taken. Iftikhar Ahmed, the debutante was unlucky too, gone for 4.

Sarfraz gave Younis a helping hand to complete his 32nd Test century, a much-needed one, both from Younis’ and Pakistan’s perspective.

Sarfraz was on 17 and Younis 101 not out when second day of Oval Test was called.

Pakistan were 340/6.
