BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan right-arm fast bowler Sohail Khan has proved to be too good for English batsmen, taking four out five wickets fallen so far at the Edgbaston Test at Birmingham.
The world was taken aback when Misbah ul Haq announced to replace Sohail Khan with pacy Wahab Riaz, citing the pitch has both pace and bounce which suits him the more than any other Pakistan fast bowler.
The second shock for Pakistan fans and critics was when the skipper decided to bowl first even after winning the toss.
But, Sohail Khan seen off all the doubts among Pakistan supporters and proved to be ‘surprise weapon’ for English batsmen, who probably were confident to dominant third Test too.
Keeping the line and length tighten, Sohail Khan has made batters make mistakes. His passion, pace and discipline has made him man of the day.
So far, Sohail has removed, Alex Hales (17), Joe Root (3), Vince (39) and Jonny Bairstow (12).
With his destructive spells, the right-arm quickie has put visitors on the driving seat of the game.
