SEOLE: LG Electronics announces it next flagship smartphone LG V20 will be first device running on Android 7.0 Nougat right out of box.
LG will ship its V20 flagship in the third quarter of 2016.
Earlier this year it was a hot topic when Google would launch the new version of Android 7.0. Now it’s very much clear that the new version will be released in September, TNG reports.
It’s quite astonishing that Android 7.0 is first going to launch in LG V20 instead of Nexus.
LG V20 is the successor of LG V10 and its surely be built upon premium and rich multimedia experience. The phone will be optimized to make best out of Nougat; such as Vulkan-supported graphics for more immersive 3D gaming experience and better battery performance with Doze.
Users will also take advantage of LG’s feature Direct Reply, which let users to respond quickly to reply the text messages using notification interface.
If we take a cursory look at the history of LG’s smartphones, we find out LG and Google had a good duo since 2009.
In 2009, LG launched its first smartphone with Android 1.5 Cupcake.
In 2012, the two companies collaborated on a series of Nexus and launched Nexus 4 with Android 4.2 Jellybean.
In 2013, Nexus 5 was released with Android 4.4 Kitkat.
In 2015, Nexus 5X unveiled featuring Android 6.0 Marshmallow and LG’s smartwatch Urbane 2nd Edition, the world first and only Android Wear smartwatch with cellular-based connectivity.
