‘Girlfriend Group’ in action in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Citizens in the federal capital have been warned against a band of girls who are out in the city to defraud boys by luring to befriend them.

Islamabad police alerted citizens against the Girl Friend Group after a man, Shafqat Mehmood, was swindled out of his money by the coterie of female looters.

With guileful tactics of becoming girlfriend, a trickster girl stole his credit card and went on shopping spree worth Rs.1.6 million. She purchased clothes, mobile phone, precious watches, perfumes and makeup articles.

The citizen, who returned from UAE, lodged a complaint at Ramna police station. Police registered a case against the girl and began investigations.
