Khizr Khan, Messiah for Muslim-Americans?

LONDON: Donald Trump has proposed banning Muslims immigrants from the Muslim major countries. Supporting Trump views, the former House Speaker Newt Gingrich suggested that Muslims should be deported who believe in the Sharia Law.

Furthermore, the former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said the Muslims who are on the federal government’s watch list should be forced to wear electronic bracelet equipped with tracking device to keep tracking their whereabouts.

On Wednesday night former President of United States said Muslims who hate terror and love freedom should stay here.

To put the record straight, Khizr Khan, the father of slain Muslim-American soldier took the stage at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Thursday night shook his copy of American Constitution at Trump and ask “Have you even read the United Stated Constitution?” Further he offered him to lend his pocket size copy of Constitution.

“Have you ever been to Arlington Cemetery?” Khan asked Trump. “Go look at the graves of the brave patriots who died defending America — you will see all faiths, genders and ethnicities. You have sacrificed nothing.”

Humayun Khan 27, the son of Khizr Khan,  was captain in the US Army, died from a suicide bombing in Baghdad 12 years ago.

Below are the tweets from Suhaib Webb, the popular cleric in Washington, DC and Wajahat Ali, a writer and journalist.
