LONDON: What you can expect from a $99 smartphone? You might think it must be a device that you can make do with. But it never happens always. ZTE has just announced its new ZMax Pro, a phablet which has jaw dropping features for only $99.
This small price tag is sticking on a big device, featuring a 6-inch display with full HD resolution of 1920×1080 having 367ppi pixel density. The idea seems too good to be true, NewsGlobal.com reported.
The device has octa-core snapdragon 617 processor, the same processor used in HTC’s One A9 and CAT’s S60, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The rear camera is 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel front-facing camera. The phone has 32GB on-board storage and a memory expansion slot which can support up to 256GB. To power this monster there is 3400mAh non-removable battery which can go on all day long.
The most surprising feature of the device is a fingerprint sensor at the back panel and USB-C port for charging. These are the features that can only be found in high-end flagship devices, even Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge does not offer USB-C and comes with microUSB 2.0. The only thing you have to cope with, the device has no NFC and can’t use Android Pay.
For just $99, there is nothing to lose.
ZTE ZMax Pro will be exclusively available on Metro PCS for $99 on August 1. Preorders have already begun, and the customers who pre-ordered will get a free lather cover for the phone.
