England announce squad for Old Trafford Test

MANCHESTER: Following Pakistan’s tactics, England have decided not to reveal its card until before toss for the Old Trafford Test, the second one of a four-match series.

The match will begin from Friday, July 22, (tomorrow) at 3.30 pm (PST).

Just like Pakistan, England now have announced a 12-men squad, rather than making it final eleven public a day before game.

England have recalled James Anderson and Ben Stokes for the second Test. Steven Finn and Jack Ball will leave place for the two players.

England’s decision means they could also give a home debut to leg-spinner Adil Rashid, all of whose three Test appearances to date were away to Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates last year.

Revised England squad: Alastair Cook (capt), Alex Hales, Joe Root, James Vince, Gary Ballance, Jonny Bairstow (wkt), Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Stuart Broad, James Anderson
