Misbah hits hundred on Lord’s debut

LONDON: Pakistan est captain Misbah ul Haq has completed his hundred in … balls in the first Test match of his career at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium.

Misbhah, who took the reigns where Azhar Ali had left when he was struck before wickets in the second over after lunch. Pakistan were 79/3.  Misbah kept his head down for the rest of the session as Younis was set and playing shots all around the wicket.

THe skipper shifted the gear when Younis left the crease with his total of 33, Pakistan were 143/4.

Misbah began to take charge as soon as spinners were introduced. His partenr, Asad Shafiq gave him the best support he could and the pair had added 128 runs for the fifth wicket partnership till the filing of this story.

MIsbah was on 101 while Asad Shafiq on 62.
