Lord’s Test: Pakistan look solid on day first lunch

LONDON: Pakistan batting lineup showed confidence against hot and cold English bowling lineup in the first session of the opening Test match of four-match series at Lord’s cricket stadium, London.

Captain Misbah won the toss and elected to bat first on a pith which look dried but yet a little bit green. This meant that first session of the game can fiery for batting side.

Though Pakistan lost talented Shan Masood early in the inning, but Hafeez and Azhar Ali kept it good unless Hafeez fell for his 40 at the hands of Woaks, Who had been bowling some splendid lines this morning.

However, Azhar and Younis are looking solid as ever. At the closing of first session, Pakistan are 72/2. Younis 18* and Azhar 7* are on the crease.
