Theresa May to take charge as PM by Wednesday evening

LONDON: England’s Prime Minister David Cameron has stated Monday that new PM Theresa May will be in place by Wednesday evening.

Cameron said he will hand in his resignation on Wednesday, reported Independent.

Mr Cameron also mentioned that he will take PMQs at noon, after which he will go to the palace and resign formally before the Queen.

David Cameron has said Theresa May will be the new Prime Minister by Wednesday evening, saying he was “delighted” that the Home Secretary would succeed him.

He will chair his last Cabinet meeting tomorrow before attending Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday. He will then go the Buckingham Palace to offer his resignation to the Queen.
