Gen Raheel only one Taliban fear: Haider Gilani

RAWALPINDI: Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and his son Ali Haider Gilani who was recently freed from Taliban’s captivity, met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Monday.

Matter of national security and the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb came under discussion during the meeting.

Former PM thanked General Raheel for his efforts leading towards recovery of his son.

On the occasion, Ali Haider Gilani told the COAS that he is the only person in Pakistan Taliban fear.

The son of former premier was recovered by US and Afghan forces hale and hearty from Giyan district of Afghanistan’s Paktika province after three years of his abduction in May 2016.

He was kidnapped by militants in the outskirts of Multan on May 9, 2013, just two days before general election in which he was campaigning.
