KARACHI: Legend of Pakistan, Abdul Sattar Edhi left away this mortal world on Friday night, his last word and will is given below.
According to his son, Faisal Edhi, Abdul Sattar Edhi had instructed and also mentioned in his will to donate all his organs to needy people.
As per Edhi’s will, his eyes are being operated, as according to doctors they can be transplanted to any person in need.
The dress he wore, will be used as Kaffan.
Faisal Edhi announced that funeral prayers of his father will performed tomorrow after Zohar prayers in Memon Masjid, Karachi.
Abdul Sattar Edhi was born in Bantva in the Indian state of Gujarat on January 1, 1928. Edhi married Bilquis Edhi in 1965 – she used to work as a nurse – they had four children.
He ran the Edhi Foundation which provided ambulance services across Pakistan & runs shelters for orphans and special children.
To many, Abdul Sattar Edhi was a great humanitarian and his passing will be felt by many as a huge loss. Edhi sahib will best be remembered for his numerous humanitarian works – ranging from ambulance services to shelters for orphans.
