KARACHI: Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman has stated that Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr 2016) moon has not been sighted yet, however final announcement will be made soon.
Amid the uncertainty of moon sighting, Mufti Muneeb warned media channels against reporting false news about moon sighting.
Mufti Muneeb, in his brief presser seemed angry at media channels and urged no to release any false news on this issue as it is a sensitive matter of prayers and religious duties of millions of Muslims.
He further stated that the meeting of RUet e Hilal Committee is still underway, final announcement regarding Shawwal moon will be made soon.
