Eid al-Fitr 2016 moon sighting in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: The Supreme Judiciary Council of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will also meet today (Monday) to witness the Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr2016) crescent.

The moon sighting committee will convene at the building of Supreme Court, after Namaz e Maghrib.

Supreme Court of KSA has asked locals to contact local authorities if they get any evidences regarding crescent watching.

Muslims in the Middle East, Europe and the US will be anxiously waiting for the announcement of Eid Al Fitr as majority in Western countries follow Saudi Arabia’s Islamic Hijri calendar.

On the other hand, a moon sighting committee under the Minister of Justice, Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi will convene after Maghreb prayer on Thursday, 29th of Ramadan at the Judiciary Department in Abu Dhabi.
