Eid al-Fitr 2016 in Australia expected on July 6

PERTH: Eid al-Fitr 2016 in Australia is expected to happen on, Wednesday, July 6, 2016, according to astronomical predictions, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

In Australia, Eid al-Fitr is not declared as a holiday. However, Muslims who have business or who work in a firm owned by Muslims might be closed on the day of Eid, for they can enjoy the blessed day.

The Eid prayer will be performed at Quakers Hill Mosque at 8:30 AM AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time).

This holy month of Ramadan 2016 have been very easy on Australian Muslims because of the fasting period, 10 hours, which is the second shortest period of fast around the globe.

The first is Argentina, where the fast last 9 hours and 30 minutes.

According to Islamic belief, Eid al-Fitr is a reward from the God, for those who fast for the whole month regardless of any weather challenges.

Traditionally, the festival celebrated for three days. In the Muslim majority countries; such as, Saudi Arab, Pakistan, India etc. they have three days public holiday to celebrate.
