ORLANDO: A girl who was standing in the line just behind the shooter to take autograph of Christina Grimmie reveals that she opened her arms to hug that man before shewas shot in the head.
The 20-year-old Destiny Rivera told Dailymail.co.uk that she was waiting to see Christina Grimmie after the concert was over and was in line at merchandise table and stood behind killer Kevin Loibl.
“I saw Loibl walk toward Grimmie who threw her arms open for a hug, moments later we heard three shots as he killed himself after shooting Grimmie in the head.
Grimmie detailed what happened on the spot in a series of tweets and thanked Christina’s brother, Marcus (Mark) Grimmie for his heroic act and for saving her and others life.
Rest in peace, Christina. I am lucky that I had the pleasure of seeing you tonight, even seconds before. May God be with you #RIPChristina??

I have no idea how someone so talented and genuine was given this fate while my friends and I are still alive and well. #RIPChristina

I was 1 of 15 people left in the venue when this happened. It easily could have turned into a shooting rampage after Christina was hit first

With that being said, thank you Mark Grimmie for saving my life as well as some other incredibly brave friends and fans. We appreciate you.
