MUMBAI- Sonu Nigam’s Beggar role became talk of the town when he went to the streets of Mumbai disguised as a beggar last week. He recently met the boy who gave him money i.e. Rs.12 to the beggar Sonu.
Sonu Nigam did a social experiment disguising himself as an ageing beggar cum street performer through prosthetic and makeup. The legendary singer was carrying a harmonium and sang some hits during which a large crowd assembled around him to hear him sing.
No one recognized him, and one admirer gave him Rs. 12 and this admirer was a boy named Shahbaz Ali.
Sonu met Shehbaz during Facebook LIVE chat session on ‘Being Indian’ handle. It was an emotional scene as the tow hugged each other tight and thanked each other for the love. Sonu was overwhelmed with the man’s commendable gesture back then.
The world famous singer has the alms framed and put up on his wall at home. Shabaaz also revealed that he wanted to tell Sonu in disguise that he sounded better than the real ‘Sonu’.
