There are a couple of Pakistani celebrities who left other professions for acting. Here are a few of them,
Fawad Khan
Before this heart stealer hit the screen and conquered it, he was busy with music. Being a lead singer of the rock band Entity Paradigm, aka E.P, he gave many songs until the band dissolved in 2007. After that, he signed ‘Khuda Kay Liay’ and then there was no stopping to him.
Sanam Jung
Sanam Jung made a debut in drama serial, Dil-e-Muztar and everyone loved her style. But before that she was working in a bank. She did Masters in business administration from the institute of Business Management and worked as a banker till she joined television and was a VJ on AAG TV for a brief span.
Ainy Jaffri
Ainy Jaffri worked in an advertising company and entered the field of acting in 2010.
Rahat Kazmi
He was the first actor to clear CSS. He worked as Information Officer in the prestigious Pakistani Civil Services in 1968. It was in 1976 that he resigned from the position and took up acting as a career.
Hamza Ali Abbasi
He was employed in the police department as a civil servant. He is the second actor to have passed CSS exams.
