When is Ramadan2016 starting in UAE?

DUBAI: Ramadan 2016 in United Arab Emirates is most likely to start on Monday, the 6th of June and will continue for 30 days until Tuesday, the 5th of July.

Though, Month of Ramadan begin on the same day each year according to Islamic calendar, but its date changes in Gregorian Calendar because of the difference between both.  Since the Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar and consists of almost 365 days and the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar with almost 355 days.

This difference makes Ramadan move in the Gregorian calendar approximately 11 days every year. The date of Ramadan may also vary from country to country depending on whether the moon has been sighted or not.

Working hours for all government, non-government, Muslim and non-Muslim employees will also be shortened. All UAE workers will be entitled to work two hours less a day, while in DIFC, which is governed by another law, only those fasting will get shorter hours.
