Pakistani Muslims to fast over 15 hours this Ramadan

KARACHI: Muslims of Pakistan will have to endure more than fifteen hours of fast this time, as Ramadan 2016 falls amid scorching summer this year. 

Some cities of the country including Islamabad and Lahore will even observe sixteen-hour long fast, while some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar will observe more than fifteen and a half hour of fast duration.

Ramadan 2016 is likely to begin from June 7 this year and will last for thirty days till July 6 2016, as chairman Ruet e Hilal Committee, Mufti Munib ur Rehman announced today.

Working timings for government and private sectors will be reduced to 6 hours.
