HYDERABAD: Pakistan firebrand opening batsman Sharjeel Khan has posted a video on social media claiming that he has been receiving threat calls from unknown entities.
Sharjeel Khan took Twitter to post a video on Thursday noon, stating that he has been receiving spam calls from unknown numbers, receiving threats to use his fake videos to defame him and asking for money in return.
“Hello there, I am sharing a thing you guys today, I’ve been receiving threat calls from unknown numbers for quite a few days, demanding money from me. They say they have made my fake videos, which they are going to upload on social media and will defame me and put my career on stake if I did not pay the demanded money,” stated Sharjeel in his video.

Commenting on the issue, renowned sports journalist Yahya Hussaini stated that he has spoken to Sharjeel Khan on the matter.
“He seemed relax and calm when I phoned him[Sharjeel]. I asked him to give his point of view on Geo News, Sharjeel stated that he believes he will handle this issue on his own, if needed be, he will inform media and police too regarding the issue,” said Yahya.
