PM Nawaz delays NA visit till Monday

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Thursday deferred his National Assembly appearance till Monday. He was expected to attend NA session on Friday.

In an official media talk, NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the arrangements have been made with Opposition about PM’s address. “I want to run the house in a pleasant mood”, he said.

He added that Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah was currently unwell and would be able to join the session on Monday.

Mr Sadiq went on to say that the opposition had guaranteed him to keep the environment calm during PM’s address. He told that he had also consulted with the ministers in this regard.

“If PM wants to attend the session on Friday as well, it’s up to him but the policy statement on Panama Leaks will be given on Monday”, said Ayaz Sadiq.

It is pertinent to mention here that Opposition had demanded taking the house into confidence on Panama Leaks issue.
