LAHORE: For better preparation and adjustment to local weather, newly appointed Pakistan Chief Selector Inzimam ul Haq has proposed to shift boot camp to England despite conducting it in Abbottabad next week.
According to local media reports, former Test captain has also shared his idea with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Shahryar Khan; however a final decision over the matter is yet to be announced.
The training camp for the England tour will begin on May 14 under Pakistan Army trainers and go on till June 4 ahead of the tour which starts in July.
If PCB endorses the idea, then the camp may shift to England and Pakistan team, who is scheduled to fly England on June 29, may reach there in second week of next month to camp there for two weeks from June 16 in Hampshire County.
Earlier, PCB cleared in a response letter to Ahmed Shehzad that his inclusion in fitness camp before England tour is not possible, however he will be ‘considered’ in team’s future plans.
