WhatsApp has officially announced launching of its new desktop application for Windows and Mac users, today (Wednesday).
The new app is available for Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ and is synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device.
Just like WhatsApp Web, the new desktop app lets you message with friends and family while your phone stays in your pocket. Users can send messages, attachments, record voice messages, send pictures, and manage their message history.
It might be missing a couple features from the phone version (I can’t find a way to change a conversation wallpaper from the desktop version, for example) but it should be mostly the same experience you’re used to.
There are four (4) easy steps to download/install and enjoy new Whatsapp desktop app.
Step 1:Â Go the official WhatsApp.com website and download the app from here.
Step 2: As soon as the app has been installed, click and open it, now you’ll see a familiar QR scan code you saw on WhatsApp web.
 Step 3: Pick your phone, open WhatsApp web in the settings and scan the QR code on the desktop.
Step 4: Hold it for few second unless the WhatsApp from your smartphone automatically sync with the app on desktop, and then you can start chatting right away.
