MUMBAI: If rumours are to be believed then, the next Bond girl would be from Bollywood tinsel town and more interestingly, the top contenders for the role are – Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra!
It i obvious that the makers of the James Bond franchise have still not found a prefect replacement to the dashing Daniel Craig. Amidst all this, speculation is rife about who the next Bond girl shall be.
According to an Indian tabloid, two of the top Bollywood divas — Priyanka and Deepika — are also vying for the coveted role. Currently, both Priyanka and DP are in the US shooting for their respective Hollywood projects and there is a good chance that either of them might bag this plum project.
In fact, buzz is that both of them have already auditioned for the role and have expressed a strong interest to come on board, Bollywoodlife.com reported.
Bollywoodlife.com reported, “Deepika is finishing the final leg of xXx — she had given them bulk dates for the film. And over the past 18 months, Priyanka Chopra has been shooting for Quantico, and only recently she started work on Baywatch too. Both actresses have very strong teams there who are deftly managing their work and have been pitching them to various Hollywood studios. And they have also made it clear to their respective agents that they are not interested in doing two-bit roles.”
Besides Priyanka and Deepika, there are a few other names too that are being considered.
