LAHORE: Ahmed Shehzad’s ‘written apology idea’ seems to have worked as reports fro Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suggest that firebrand opener may get a call for boot camp in Abbottabad.
According to authoritative sources,PCB chairman Shahryar Khan has accepted Shehzad’s apology and willing t o give him ‘one last chance.’
He has given a green signal for Shehzad’s inclusion in the camp but conditioned it with Chief Selector Inzimam ul Haq’s approval.
So, the ball is now in Inzimam’s court, if he accepts ‘selfie king’s’ apology, he might be seen in Green Shirt again, playing against England.
Earlier, Shehzad had written to PCB chief a ‘sorry letter’ and assured him of a positive change in his behavior.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Selector, while announcing 35-man squad for boot camp before England tour, had ignored Ahmed Shehad and Umar Akmal for their disciplinary issues with team management.
