ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Thursday held consultation his cabinet ministers after receiving a letter from Syed Khursheed Shah, Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, about terms of reference (TOR) regarding judicial probe into Panama papers.
According to reliable sources, PM Sharif discussed the content of Shah’s letter with close aides.
Sources add that there are differences within the PML-N over holding talks with the opposition parties about the TOR.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and some others are in favour of taking opposition parties into confidence about the TOR while a second group led by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar is totally against the idea.
A final decision in this regard will be taken by the prime minister himself, add sources.
Yesterday, Chaudhry Nisar and Zahid Hamid held a press conference in Islamabad and rejected the TOR jointly presented by nine opposition parties
