ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Thursday has acquired arrest warrants of former Senate Chairman Nayyar Bukhari for his alleged involvement in thrashing police official, TheNewsTribe.com.
According to information available to TheNewsTribe.com, arrest warrants of Mr Bukhari were issued by a local court on request of Margalla police station authorities.
Earlier, Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police had ordered arrest of former chairman Senate Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and his guard for slapping a policeman after he tried to search them before entering a court, Dunya News reported Wednesday.
Case was registered without any delay at Margalla Police Station against the former chairman of Senate. The case against Bukhari was launched for interfering with official work.
Reportedly, Bukhari was entering a court in F-8 when a policeman stopped him for checking. What seemed to be a standard procedure for the security guard was an act of disrespect for the ex-chairman.
