Disgruntled employee kills one at Texas trucking company

WASHINGTON: At least one person was reportedly killed and another injured in a firing incident outside a school in Texas, TheNewsTribe.com learnt from US media reports.

According to initial details, a disgruntled employee with a shotgun killed one person and injured another before shooting himself inside Knight Transportation in the 20400 block of Franz Road in Katy, the Department of Public Services confirms, ClicktoHouston reported.

Emergency crews were called just before 9 a.m. for reports of a man with a shotgun inside the building.

he gunman – who has not yet been named – had reportedly been fired that very morning.  He was armed with a pistol and a shotgun, but only used the shotgun in the shooting.

One other employee was injured, but did not need to be hospitalized. A police officer was injured responding to the shooting, and was hospitalized for his injuries.

However, police say the officer was not hurt by the shooter and that his injuries are non-life-threatening.
