KARACHI: Ameer jamaat e Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq has stated that Panama Paper leaks have placed irremovable stains on politicians’ characters and that a probe should be launched as soon as possible.
Siraj inaugurated ‘Corruption-free Pakistan signatory campaign’ in Karachi. Addressing to the media after on the occasion, he stated that the banner with the signatures of ten million Pakistanis will be presented in the National Assembly (NA).
He said that corruption and Pakistan cannot go along together, adding that the corrupt lot will sell the country if the current situation does not change.
Siraj stated that investigations regarding the Panama Leaks have been initiated around the globe whereas in Pakistan a commission has yet not been formed to probe into the matter.
JI Ameer said that the party has made 13 Terms of References (TORs) regarding the commission that will probe into the matter. He said that agreements on information sharing at international level is as important as curbing the dacoits and the corrupt present in the country.
