Panamagate investigation: CJP to return tonight

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJ) Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali will return to the country after taking part in a conference in Turkey. Decision regarding the formation of the investigation commission to probe into the Panama Leaks was suspended because of the unavailability of the Chief Justice.

The government on April 22 wrote a letter to Chief Justice regarding the formation of the commission to probe into the Panama Leaks however the CJ took a bird’s-eye view of the letter and proceeded with his trip to Turkey.

Analysts state that the next 72 hours are utmost crucial in regards to the decision of the formation of the investigation commission.
