ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan made a strong pitch for lifting a media ban on Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and said the restriction was a violation of Article-19 of the Constitution.
Talking to media flanked by MQM leaders including Dr. Farooq Sattar, he demanded the Terms of Reference (TORs) for the inquiry commission be framed in consultation with the opposition parties, adding all the (opposition) parties were in agreement over seeking out services from international forensic audit firm.
Opposition parties were not consulted over the issue of Panama Leaks. We are of calculated stance that the probe be initiated from the Prime Minister: Aitzaz Ahsan
“Terms of Reference (TORs) should be worked out under the new law. The Prime Minister’s son acknowledged that he owns London property,” he said.
