Mustafa Kamal ropes in MQM’s Saif Yar Khan

KARACHI: Three more political leaders including Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) member Saif Yar Khan Saturday joined the bandwagon of Pak Sarzameen Pakistan (PSP) a day before the newly formed party’s first public rally in Karachi.

The other two persons joined the PSP included zonal in-charge from Larkana Ubaidullah Buledi and Ataullah from Balochistan.

Addressing a press conference along with PSP leaders, Khan said that he was associated with MQM for the past 30 years and that he never leave the country.

He accused MQM chief Altaf Hussain of running the mafias in Karachi. Khan said that all those people sitting in MQM’s London secretariat are not political workers but servants of Altaf.

He appealed to the MQM workers to quit his former party and join PSP.

On the occasion, PSP’s de-facto head Mustafa Kamal said over 1,000 MQM workers are set to join his party. He asked the masses to attend the party’s first public gathering scheduled for tomorrow at Bagh-e-Jinnah.

Yesterday, Syed Hafeez-ud-Din of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) joined Kamal’s caravan.

Four MQM MPAs Dr Saghir Ahmed, Iftikhar Alam, Ashfaq Mangi and Bilquis Mukhtar have already joined the PSP.

Meanwhile, the PSP has finalized arrangements for its public gathering.

An 80-foot wide and 18-foot high stage is being erected at Bagh-e-Jinnah along Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum.

Thousands of chairs have been placed at the rally venue, with sound system installed for a festivity on eve of the public meeting
