It is pertinent to mention here that PM had earlier formed an inquiry commission under Retd Supreme Court judged Justice Sarmad Usmani. The commission was rejected by opposition parties unanimously a call for CJP-led commission was demanded.
On the other hand, experts believe that Army Chief’s move of dismissing 6 high-ranked officers just two days after his call for ‘across-the-board’ accountability to uproot terrorism from the country has majorly pressed PM to take this decision.
