Moin Akhter is the unforgettable legend of Pakistan. He was a dynamic Pakistani artist being the king of all trades. Here are a few facts about him on his 6th death anniversary.

Moin Akhter was a Pakistani television, film, stage actor, humorist, comedian, impersonator, host, writer, singer and director.

He got fame in the era of Radio Pakistan and became a worldwide icon his screen role, ‘Rosy’. He collected critical acclaim for his performance in this drama. In this he played a role of female TV artist.

He took special care that his humor was devoid of vulgarity.

He had flair in many languages including English, Bengali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Memoni, Pashto, Gujarati and Urdu.

He started his career as child actor at the age of 13 and played the role of Shylock in Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice in theater.

He made his debut on television through a variety show held on PTV to celebrate the first defense day of Pakistan.

He is the winner of Pride of Performance Award, which was awarded to him by Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif in 1996.

He died of heart attack and his funeral prayer was led by Junaid Jamshed.

It is rumored that the world famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds has wished to include a statue of him in their London museum which would be the first of its kind for any Pakistani entertainer.
