Zardari’s acquittal in NAB references, Islamabad HC summons record

ISLAMABAD: Moments after army Chief General Raheel Sahrif began accountability process from within army by dismissing twelve on duty high ranked officers over corruption charges, political leaders of the country have began to feel the heat.

In wake of new wave of ‘across the board accountability’ Islamabad High Court has summoned the record of former Pakistan president Asif Zardari’s acquittal in NAB references.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had acquitted Zardari in last November from references that were filed against him during 90s.

Earlier, the references against Zardari had been deferred because he enjoyed constitutional immunity during his tenure as head of state
