INDIA: At least 25 killed in a road accident when a bus plunged in a ditch while taking cultural troupe in Indian Eastern State Areesa on Sunday night.
This incident occurred in Dave Garh area on Sunday night when a bus plunged 250 ft. deep trench.
According to police, this happened when bus went out of control while taking a turn. The bus was on the way to Bahar Gar from Dav GAR. 40 passengers were travelling including children and women.
Police superintend (SP), Sara Sharma of Dave Gar told to ATI news agency 25 dead bodies have been picked up however 11 passengers are critically injured.
Fire brigade and police are taking part in rescue operation and taking injured to hospitals.
“The dense forests to the mountainous terrain hindering rescue operation,” Sara told.
Ever year 2 lac and 30 thousand people suffer from road accidents in India. Pathetic condition of roads and old vans are often caused of such fatal incidents.
