Apps for Earth: Apple launches new campaign

SAN FRANCISCO- Apple has decided to launch ‘Apple for Earth’ for the sake of providing funds to the world wildlife.

Apple has reached out to some of the prominent Apps in its store to provide these funds. In ‘Apps for earth’, the Apps store is going to involve 27 popular Apps, including Angry Birds 2 and Candy Crush.

iPhone has also started a campaign in this regard which will be featured till April 24. In this campaign, the makers and developers of iPhone will donate via different Apps created for this campaign.

Apple’ CEO Tim Cook says,

“We have been putting quite an emphasis these past few years on environmental initiatives at Apple, really trying to walk the walk with respect to our own operations and how we make and recycle our products.”

Going with the hash tag #appsforearth, this project contains following apps,

Angry Birds 2 (Rovio Entertainment; Finland)

Best Fiends (Seriously; US)

Candy Crush Soda Saga (King; Malta)

Cooking Dash 2016 (Glu Games Inc.; US)

Cut the Rope: Magic (ZeptoLab; Russia)

Disney Infinity: Toy Box 3.0 (Disney; US)

Dragon City (Social Point; Spain)

Jurassic World: The Game (Ludia; Canada) and many other.

It is pertinent to mention here that Apple has been criticized by many environmentalists previously for depending on suppliers who are involved in polluting the environment. The company was also for designing its devices too tightly that their components were difficult to be disassembled and reused.

So, this campaign with WWF would make the environmentalists happy.
