Have you ever pondered whether fire cast a shadow? Well, it does not. There is a straight scientific reason for that.
The scientific answer to this phenomenon is that fire itself is the source of light itself and no source of light can cast shadow. Shadow is cast by an opaque object having volume. So fire, more precisely light cannot cast shadow.
Shadow is produced when some objects get in the path of light.
If you want a proof that fire cannot produce a shadow, then do this simple experiment. Light a match and place it some 10-15 cm away from a wall. Then take a torch and shine it over your hand that’s holding the match. You will see that only the shadow of your hand and the matchstick will appear on the wall! The flame will be nowhere to be seen.
Many if you would argue that fire is seen in water and mirror but it is a reflection, not shadow.
