Five eating rules that keep you healthy for lifetime

Getting healthier and fitter is on everyone’s things to do list. This is no rocket science as sticking to a few simple rules involving eating will keep you healthy for a long time,

Eat when hungry

Eating has become a sidelined activity for us now. We are habitual of munching while watching a movie and eating while sitting in front of a lappy. But doing this can make one oblivious to their hunger. Furthermore, we are so immersed in our work that we don’t realize we are hungry and eat when the work is over but till then our hunger has been chipped away.

Prefer water over any other drink

Water has no calorie, no sugar and it does its job perfectly. Furthermore, just cutting down on sweetened beverages can help people lose lots of weight and thus cure obesity which is the composition of several diseases.

Vegetables should rule your dining table

Vegetables contain fiber, antioxidants, minerals and so much nutrients. So, eat your meat but don’t replace vegetables in your diet.

Prefer food closest to its natural form

Prefer foods which do not have preservatives in them. Choose a whole grain over processed cereal, real fruit and plain yogurt over processed fruit and yogurt and so on.

Quantity control

Even healthy food becomes unhealthy when eaten in excess. Olive oil is super healthy but puring a full ladle on your food will not do well to you.
