Despite the tensed relations between two neighboring countries, India and Pakistan celebrities are always welcomed and encouraged to work across borders. Several Pakistani actors have tried their skills in the neighboring country but a few are reluctant to do so. Here are a few Pakistani celebs who have rejected Bollywood offers,
Hamza Ali Abbassi
Our famous social media star, Hamza Ali Abbassi was offered the Bollywood film, Baby which he rejected for anti-Pakistan content.
Faisal Qureshi
Being a perfectionist he rejected a few Bollywood offers because he did not like the script. In his own words, “I’ve had 2-3 offers, but the scripts weren’t to my liking. I don’t want to disappoint my fans by doing that doesn’t live up to their expectation.”
Fahad Mustafa
The Na Maloom Afrad actor also has rejected B-Town offer because he preferred to do work in his homeland.
Mehwish Hayat
According to gossips, Hayat was offered a role in Jut James Bond to star across actor Jimmy Shergil but turned the proposal down for good.
Saba Qamar
Saba Qamar has turned down four offers from Bollywood. According to a buzz, she was offered roles in Love Aj Kal, Delhi 6, an Ekta Kapoor production and a movie starring Randeep Hoda.
In her own words, “I think our focus should first be on our own film industry. If they give a role alongside Ranbir Kapoor or Shahrukh Khan, it makes sense, but not if it is with Randip Hoodha or Emraan Hashmi.”
Finally the actor got her wish right, recently she is starring in a Bollywood debut with Irrfan Khan.
Sanam Jung
In her own words, “When I said I would not do bold scenes, they replied they could ‘cheat’, but even if they cheat a scene, the audience will think I have done it. So Bollywood is out of the question”
