Seven signs you take too much sugar

We all know are well aware that we should not take sugar too much, but still this knowledge us not being implemented. Excessive sugar intake can lead to a lot of health problems including obesity which itself is a compilation of many diseases. Here are a few signs you are taking too much sugar,

Acne

Eating too much sugar leads to the appearance of those pesky red pimples on your face. According to a study, a high sugar diet and severe acne are interrelated.

You feel down

If you have a sugar packed meal which lacks in protein, fiber, and fat you will feel an energy slump after a while. You may start having a hammering headache or an urge to slumber.

You have dental issues

Cavities are an obvious sign of sweet tooth. When bacteria in your mouth digest any kind of carbohydrate (whether that’s spaghetti, Skittles, or salad), they produce an acid that combines with your saliva to produce plaque, which accumulates on teeth and begins to erode teeth enamel, the start of cavities.

High blood pressure

A sugar diet can drive your blood pressure beyond the standard one. According to a study, limiting people’s sugar intake is more important than reducing sodium consumption when we talk about healthy blood pressure.

High cholesterol

Increase in fat levels circulating in your blood is a sign that you take too much sugar in your diet. Excessive sugar decreases the body’s ‘good cholesterol’ and increases its ‘bad cholesterol’. According to a study, fructose spurs the body to create triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.

You feel depressed

Several studies link sugar intake and depression risk. High sugar diet increases levels of inflammation throughout the body which is also linked to higher levels of depression.

You are never satiated

Foods that are high in sugar, but low in protein, fiber, and other nutrients, do not make you feel full.
