Bilawal opposes Imran’s demand to address via PTV

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has opposed the demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s address to the nation via the Pakistan Television (PTV) on Sunday.

While expressing his thoughts on the social media website Twitter on Friday, Bilawal inquired that since Syed Khurshid Shah is the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) therefore in what capacity can Imran Khan address the nation.

However, Khurshid Shah endorsed Imran Khan’s demand and supported the idea that the speeches of the opposition members must also be broadcasted on the Pakistan Television.

Earlier, the PTI chief wrote a letter to PTV to make arrangements for his address to the nation using the state channel’s platform.
