RAWALPINDI: An impressive Corps Investiture Ceremony was held at General Head Quarter (GHQ) of Pakistan Army, Rawalpindi today.
Corps Commander Lieutenant General Malik Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest on the occasion conferred awards of Tamgha-i-Basalat, Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha -i-Imtiaz (Military) on army officers and soldiers.
He conferred the awards fifteen officers and 81 soldiers were awarded Tamgha -i-Basalat, including next of kins of one Shaheed Officer and 76 Shaheed Soldiers, for their sacrifices during Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Forty-six officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 106 officers were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) on the occasion of Pakistan Day for rendering meritorious services to the nation.
