DUBAI: Former Pakistan paceman and current UAE coach Aqib Javed has denied applying for Pakistan head coach, the post was vacant when Waqar Younis resigned few days back.
While talking to media, Aqib Javed stated that he does not ‘trust’ on the two-members committee formed by PCB and thus he does not want to apply for the post.
“The committee is not interesting hiring local coaches who have better understanding of players than foreign coaches, they (Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja) are more leaned towards having a foreign coach with the team,” stated Aqib.
Aqib went on to say that everybody wants to go from better to best, and so does he, but in certain scenario, he do not want to let anybody insult him.
He said he has fifteen years of experience in coaching field, and has been worked with current Pakistani players when they were young, he understands them very well.
